Integrated Undergraduate/Graduate Program

Integrated Undergraduate/Graduate Program

Penn State undergraduate students majoring in Global and International Studies (GLIS) can earn a master of international affairs degree with one additional year of study through the integrated undergraduate-graduate (IUG) program offered with the School of International Affairs (SIA). By double counting up to 12 credits, students can complete a bachelor of arts or bachelor of science in Global and International Studies and a master’s degree in international affairs in five years.

The IUG program allows students to save money on graduate education as tuition costs remain at the undergraduate rate throughout the course of study. IUG students will engage in challenging graduate coursework in a professional degree program designed to promote career development and post-graduate marketability in a range of roles and sectors.
